All Saints' Festival Choir consists of around fifty singers from all over mid and west Kent from various choirs and choral societies, as well as a number of people who have had little previous experience of singing. Although the choir works to a very high standard, there are no auditions, and all are welcome who are able to attend rehearsals. Those with less confidence are encouraged to come to as many rehearsals as they can, to give themselves
as much help as possible. In addition to the concerts, two or three social events are held each year, which help defray the high costs of holding the concerts. Retiring collections at the concerts and donations from social events have been made in aid of various charities. For 2019 we are supporting Excellent Developments, a charity which funds sand dams to raise the water table by damming sandy seasonal rivers. Oour 2018 charity was the iCare Day Centre Trust, based in Green Street Green.
The choir rehearses during term time on Tuesday evenings at 8pm, with occasional other weekday evening and Sunday afternoon rehearsals. The choir relies on singers attending as many rehearsals as they feel they need, both for their own and for others' sakes! Rehearsals take place in All Saints' Church (or Hall), Bark Hart Road, Orpington, BR6 0QD, unless otherwise advised. See the "Contacts & tickets" page for a map.New choir members are very welcome. Previous singing experience is not necessary (nearly everyone can sing!)
Following the illness of our founder and conductor, Raymond Lewis, this term's rehearsals will be taken and the concert conducted by Christopher Field.

Rehearsals start on Tuesday 8th January 2019
